Meet Zachary

Zac has been an immigration lawyer for over twenty years both in private practice and in the nonprofit sector.  He regularly appears before the immigration court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, USCIS and has experience in federal appeals.  He is based in Denver, Colorado and speaks Spanish. His law practice is dedicated to providing quality immigration legal representation at accessible rates.

Previously, he was the Immigration Legal Services Director of Catholic Charities of South Western Ohio. He led a staff that served low-income immigrants in SW Ohio on a pro bono basis. 

Zac was a sole practitioner of immigration law in New York City for 12 years. The office provided quality, affordable immigration representation to a population underserved by the legal profession.  He handled a wide range of immigration cases with an emphasis on removal defense, asylum work and family immigration. 

Zac is a long time member of the National Immigration Project of the National Lawyers Guild and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.  He has worked with City University of New York School of Law, the Community Legal Resources Network, and the Refugee and Immigrant fund.  He was also a staff attorney and Board Member of Central America Legal Assistance in Brooklyn. 

Zac graduated from the Cardozo School of Law in Manhattan and received his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Oregon. He was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, and has also lived in New York City; Querétaro, México and in Southwest Ohio. He currently resides in Denver, Colorado with his daughter Corinne.
